MiniTT1 & FlexTT5 Radios for Nikon Now Shipping Worldwide

On January 18, 2011 we announced the PocketWizard MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 radios for Nikon are now shipping everywhere. Shipments to dealers continue daily in order to meet the high demand for these new units. These Nikon i-TTL compatible radios are being shipped with the latest ControlTL firmware for Nikon, version 2.100.

ControlTL firmware v2.100 for Nikon adds compatibility for the new Nikon D7000 and addresses some other operational issues. Current owners of the MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 radios for Nikon can upgrade to the new firmware for free via the PocketWizard Utility.

This firmware does not include compatibility for the new SB700. This will be addressed in a future firmware version.

PocketWizard has also just released an online wiki format manual for both Nikon and Canon versions of the ControlTL system. The PocketWizard wiki is a work in progress and will continuously be updated as new features are added and improvements are made to the easily-upgraded ControlTL system.

The AC3 ZoneController for Nikon is on schedule for February deliveries.  The AC9 AlienBees Adapter for Nikon is on schedule for March deliveries.

      Thanks for leaving a comment!

MAC Group is making regular shipments to all their PocketWizard dealers in the USA and all the units are basically getting shipped right back out or picked up immediately. Perhaps contacting your favorite dealer and placing an order would get you in the queue to receive one of the next shipments.

The wait, especially in the past two months, has been particularly frustrating. It is Feb. 7th and all Photo dealers we contacted in the greater Chicago area have no idea when they expect to see any of these units. Even Calumet where I have been on the waiting list for a long time, hasn’t seen this at all and were not even aware that shipment was imminent.

After waiting this long, it feels so close but I also have never been closer to just going in another direction.

Sorry for the delay all. Checking into the issue, the reason for the delay proves to be a simple one: S*N*O*W. PocketWizard radios are made in the USA. Assembly is in New Hampshire. Snows at the end of January affected transportation of parts in and radios out. As of this writing, delivery to the warehouse is in full swing and we are getting them to stores are quickly as we can. Demand for the Nikon radios is unprecedented, but we believe we can fill most orders soon.

  4. I have had an order with Adorama since 1/7/11 for MiniTT1 and 2 Flex TT5 and AC3. The Flex TT5 were shipped early this month but nothing for MiniTT1 and AC3. I am a Pro shooter and have assignments that I need these. Any idea when??? or if any other dealers have in stock?

      Hi Allen,
MiniTT1 radios are being shipped as soon as we get them in from the manufacturer. The AC3 just came into the warehouse and will start shipping in the next few days. We are supplying dealers as quickly as possible and expect that we should get most orders filled soon. Keep checking with Adorama.
