Here’s a great compendium of coverage the PocketWizard Plus® III has recently been getting. From hands-on reviews by such notables as David Hobby at Strobist, Joe McNally, Rob Galbraith, and the gang at FStoppers, to a long list of other photography resources online, this single page of the Plus III micro site is a great place to get a huge overview of what the entire photographic industry is buzzing about.
Be sure to check it out if you’d like to see just some of what everyone has been talking about since the announcement at WPPI 2012.
Our friend Mark Wallace of Snapfactory gave us permission to repost his announcement regarding his WPPI meetups. Here it is!

Mark Wallace is partnering with PocketWizard this year at WPPI. Join Mark in this informal setting to learn about off-camera flash and remote camera triggering. This is the perfect place to ask questions about photography and meet other photographers. Mark will be giving lighting demos and has a never-seen-before demonstration that involves members of the audience. You’ll have to see it to believe it!
Mark will be hosting three meetups. Mark will be presenting his lighting demonstrations at all of them, the only thing that is different is the questions you bring with you. The meetups are informal and tend to take on a life of their own. So come to one or all of them, the choice is yours.
Price: FREE. WPPI registration is NOT required.
Location: Meet in the lobby by the lion at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
Bring: Your camera, your questions and a jacket – we will be shooting outside!
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00 pm
Dates:
- Sunday, February 19
- Monday, February 20
- Tuesday, February 21

…Hanson Fong and the new PocketWizard Mini/Flex system can handle it all! San Francisco-based wedding and portrait photographer Hanson Fong goes in front of the camera to clearly explain how the new PocketWizard system is perfect for weddings, where one minute you may be using classic portrait lighting but a minute later chasing the bride and groom like a paparazzi. And, of course, you’re not allowed paparazzi on-camera lighting. Hanson’s results are beautiful, of course, and so will yours if you follow his advice.
EDIT: Learn more about the shoot on our website.
…on what goes on in Vegas will definitely not stay in Vegas thanks to our blogs.
Scarlett’s Monday night workshop (thankfully football season is over) is nearly full. Way to go Scarlett! Good luck with the workshop and the contest. PocketWizard is proud to be your partner.
